Decent parts, slow shipping

I bought some jumper wires and a few resistors from Popelectronics. The parts themselves were exactly what I needed and seem to be good quality for the price. The website was easy enough to navigate to find what I wanted. My only real complaint is that shipping took almost two weeks to reach me in California, which felt a bit long. I understand they're based in the Netherlands, but I've had faster international shipping from other places. Customer service was responsive when I inquired about the delay, which was a plus. I'd consider ordering again for non-urgent items.

Great Arduino Starter Kit

I ordered an Arduino starter kit from Popelectronics and it arrived so fast! Everything was packaged really well. I'm already halfway through the projects. Definitely shopping here again for more modules, and I'll tell my friends too!

Good ESP32 module

Got an ESP32 module last week. It took about 6 days to get to my place in Ohio, which was fine. The module worked right out of the box with no issues. Overall, it was a smooth process, nothing fancy but got what I needed. I'd probably order from them again if I need more parts for a project.

Just wondering about payment options. Can I pay with something like PayPal or is it only credit cards?

J Jason W. 3 weeks ago
Pretty sure they do PayPal, I used it for my last order. Super convenient.

Yeah, PayPal is definitely an option. I've used it many times with them.

How do they compare to like, Conrad or TinyTronics? Especially for Raspberry Pi stuff.

A Alex Jackson 1 month ago
For RPi, Pop Electronics often has better prices on specific accessories or modules, but Conrad might have a wider range of general electronics. TinyTronics is good too, but sometimes Pop has unique smaller components.

I find Pop is better for niche components and good deals on starter kits. Conrad feels a bit more corporate, TinyTronics is solid but I usually check Pop first for specific ICs or sensors.

Hey, thinking about grabbing an Arduino starter kit from here. How long does shipping usually take to, like, California?

A Amanda Mitchell 1 month ago
Oh, they're based in the Netherlands, so it's not super fast. I'd expect at least a week, maybe two for international stuff.

Yeah, I ordered some ESP32 modules last month to Florida and it was about 8 business days. So Cali might be similar.

Are the Arduino boards they sell actually genuine? Or are they like, knock-offs?

A Ashley Lee 2 weeks ago
They sell the real deal, I've bought a few Uno boards and they've all been authentic. Never had an issue.

Yeah, pretty sure they're legit. Mine had the official branding and everything, worked perfectly with the Arduino IDE.

Does the 'free shipping over 50 euro' deal still apply if I use a discount code that brings my total under 50?

J Jacob Parker 3 weeks ago
I think the free shipping is usually based on the total *after* any discounts are applied. So probably not.

E Eric S. 3 weeks ago
Naw, it's almost always the final price. If your total dips below 50 after a coupon, you'll likely pay for shipping.
